West Coast

ENGLISH

On this tour will have the opportunity to see the West Coast
where the
rainfall is far less then on the south coast as there
are no mountains and this continues up the coast to Namibia.

We will have a first stop on
Blaauwberg Beach for a
"postcard picture" of Table Mountain.
From there you will also see
Robben Island which seems
tantalisingly close.

Continuing on Otto Du Plessis Drive and the R27 toward
the
!khwa ttu San Culture and Education centre where
you will have the choice of taking part in an organized guided tour.

This tour offers a fascinating insight into the culture,
heritage, knowledge and life of the San, who are also
known as the
“Bushmen”.

During the flower season from August to September we
offer you an alternative tour to the
West Coast National Park,
there you will see huge areas of flowers blooming.

After lunch we may continue the journey to the West Coast
Fossil Park . The fossils were first discovered in the area in the
late 1950 and 14 ha area of the mine floor has been declared a
National Heritage Site in an effort to protect the fossil
deposits for posterity.

On completion of the tour and visit of the
Fossil Museum
we will drive towards Cape Town via Malmesbury and
you have the opportunity for a wine tasting at
Durbanville Hills.

From there we will take you back to your accommodation.

This tour can be changed to your preference and personal interests.
